Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso does not explicitly criminalise consensual same-sex acts, but ILGA World has documented State agents targeting individuals under general 'decency'/'good morals' offences. In 2023, the Transitional Legislative Assembly's regional-consultation process produced a formal recommendation to criminalise homosexuality and ban LGBT-rights associations, which the Assembly endorsed for government review (not yet enacted as of report cutoff).
